The lodge was opened at 3.20 pm and the ceremony of consecration in ancient form was carried out in accordance with the hereto annexed.

Assisted by: Wor Bro Sir Edward Rhodes, KT, JP, PGD asst Prov G Master as WM, and installing Master and 7 others from Prov Grand Lodge.

The oration was delivered by Wor Bro PB Jackson MA Lodge 3716 Prov G Chap

RW Sir Alan Sykes Bart, DL, JP, PGW Dep Prov Grand Master by the WM designate with a founders jewel as a token of sincere gratitude and remembrance from the founders for consecrating their lodge of Liberty.

The RW Sir Alan Sykes suitably responded

The chain of KS was then taken by the Wor Bro Sir Edward Rhodes, KT, JP, PGD assist Prov Grand Master of the lodge was resumed in the 2nd degree. Where bro Critchley PPGW as Prov G.D of C presented for insulation W M Designate. W Bro Edwin Arnold Sharrocks and he was duly obligated. The lodge was opened in the third degree. A board of installed masters was then founded and the w Master designate duly installed into the chair of KS according to ancient custom proclaimed and saluted. The W M invested W Bro Fred Howarth as IPM and W Bro Horrocks PADGC gave the address to the IPM.

The board of installed masters was closed and the lodge was resumed in the third degree.

The WM was proclaimed from the east and saluted. Working tools of this degree are presented and explained. The lodge was closed by virtue and resumed in the second degree.

The WM was proclaimed from the west and saluted. Working tools of this degree are presented and explained. The lodge was closed by virtue and resumed in the first degree.

The WM was proclaimed from the south and saluted. Working tools of this degree are presented and explained. The warrant and book of constitutions were presented to the WM by the installing master, W Bro Sir Edward Rhodes KT, JP, PGD asst Prov G Master as WM, and installing Master and 9 others from Prov Grand Lodge.

The WM now invested all of his officers

Hearty greetings were expressed by visiting officers and brethren present. The lodge was closed in due form and in peace and harmony by the WM at 6pm.
